Trainee Integrative Counsellor & Psychotherapist (BACP Member)

Keith is a trainee Integrative Counsellor and Psychotherapist. He is studying for a master’s degree at the University of Derby, and specialises in Person Centred Therapy, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and Attachment Theory.

Keith is qualified to CPCAB Level 3 Counselling Studies, and has a wealth of experience, having spent 18 years’ working in the education and mental health sectors. He adopts a person-first approach, and firmly believes in the power of human connection to facilitate positive change. Keith currently manages the psychologically informed environment at a city-based charity and promotes a holistic method to maintaining good mental and physical health. He is a keen advocate for getting outdoors and into nature wherever possible, and he currently volunteers as a Wellbeing Walk Leader in Charnwood. Keith’s particular interests include the impact of school and university on the mental health of staff and students, anxiety disorders, and the wellbeing and health of men.

Keith believes in the power of a safe, confidential therapeutic space and in promoting and championing access to therapeutic spaces for all.  He holds an enhanced DBS, personal indemnity insurance, and works within the BACP Ethical Framework. Keith practises as a trainee from the Sunrise Wellbeing Therapy Centre where he provides 1:1 counselling and psychotherapy to adults and young people (16 years and over).
