Christian Dezelu
Trainee Integrative Counsellor & Psychotherapist
Christian is a Trainee Integrative Counsellor and Psychotherapist. He is studying at the University of Derby, working towards an MSc in Integrative Counselling and Psychotherapy and specialises in Person Centred Therapy, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and Attachment Theory.
He also holds a CACHE Level 2 Certificate in Counselling Skills, and a BA (Hons) Degree in Psychology from the University of Wales, Swansea.
Before retraining as a counsellor, Christian spent over 20 years working with local newspapers and media, working with people from all walks of life from communities across South Wales and Leicestershire.
Education and Experience
- Currently studying MSc in Integrative Counselling & Psychotherapy
- BA (Hons) Degree in Psychology
- CACHE Level 2 Certificate in Counselling Skills
Outside of the counselling room, Christian is a busy parent, a keen musician and enjoys painting and drawing.
Christian undertakes regular supervision and professional development in line with the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy ethical framework, holds a current enhanced DBS and is a Student Member of the BACP.
Christian practices from the Sunrise Wellbeing Therapy Centre where he provides 1:1 counselling and psychotherapy to young people 16+ and adults.
