Marjolein Cleaver

Occupational Therapist

Hi, I am Marjolein, an occupational therapist who specialises in mental health and neurodiversity.
I am passionate about supporting people (young people aged 10+ and adults) with anxiety, low mood, lack of motivation and self-acceptance and a whole range of other issues. In my sessions we will work together to help you find a way through whatever is going on at the moment.
I have a special interest in supporting people who are neurodiverse (autism, ADHD, dyslexia, dyspraxia etc) and help them explore how to harness the strengths of their differently-wired brain. You don’t need a diagnosis to access support. Understanding the differences can help you overcome your struggles and find ways that work better for you. I support both young people and
adults. If you are a late diagnosed adult or are wondering if you might be neurodiverse, it will be worth exploring this together. You can finally put all those niggles and struggles to rest and make sense of yourself within the world.
My approach is collaborative and relationship-focused. This means I will put you first and seek to understand who you are as a person. From this I will help you set goals and we can work together towards reaching them in a way that is most suited to you.
I can also deliver workshops and training on neurodiversity and mental health. Enquire to find out more.
Alongside my own practice, I also offer support and supervision to other OTs looking to get started in independent practice, new start-ups and neurodivergent OTs. Good supervision that really seeks to understand you will help you get the most out of your practice. Get in touch for a no-obligation chat around supervision.
Marjolein has achieved:
  • First class BSc (Hons) in Occupational Therapy
  • Mental Health First Aider

Marjolein undertakes regular supervision and professional development in line with the British Association of Occupational Therapists’ ethical framework, holds a current enhanced DBS and is an professional member of RCOT. Marjolein practices from Bodies House in Braunstone.
