Life is full of events, relationships, stresses and strains and all these impact on us in many different ways. It can affect all the important things to us such as school, work, relationships and our own perception of ourselves. This can be tiring and overwhelming. Fortunately, it doesn’t have to be this way and Dr Sudan believes strongly that a person can benefit from having a space to discuss their feelings and develop ideas and strategies to improve their emotional wellbeing.
Dr Sudan’s aim is to offer flexible, compassionate bespoke psychological therapies which help you to develop an understanding of your difficulties and work towards your goals. Dr Sudan is multi-lingual (speak Hindi, Urdu and fluent Punjabi).
She has experience working with young people aged 12+ and adults and is a member of the British Psychological Society (BPS), including the Division of Clinical Psychology (DCP), Associate Fellow of the British Psychology Society and Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).
Doctorate in Clinical Psychology (DClinPsy) / MSc Health Psychology / BSc (Hons) Psychology & Human Biology
The main models of therapy that Dr Sudan draws upon are Compassionate Focused Therapy (CFT), Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Compassionate Focused therapy (CFT) and Psychodynamic and Attachment Informed Approaches. Dr Sudan is Intensively trained in Dialectical Behaviour Therapy with British Isles DBT Training and is an Eye Movement Desensitization & Reprocessing (EMDR) therapist, having trained through Richman EMDR training (approved by EMDR International Association and by EMDR Europe Association).
