Bhavna Freeman

Therapeutic Counsellor (Accredited Member NCPS)
& Trainee Children and Young Persons Counsellor

Bhavna is a therapeutic counsellor, trained in the person-centred model, she has integrated the core principles of
empathy, unconditional positive regard and congruence into her practice. Providing a space that is non-judgemental
and compassionate is very important to her, so that her clients can feel safe enough to explore their thoughts and
emotions freely and help them to build their own autonomy.

Bhavna is currently extending her training, so that she can work with children and young people. A part of her
training includes working in a placement, such as Sunrise Wellbeing and she is expanding her learning of different
approaches during her training, enabling her to be able to work with a wider range of clients and their presenting issues.

Bhavna has achieved/achieving:

  • Level 5 Counselling Children & Young People – Due to Qualify in 2025
  • Level 4 Therapeutic Counselling
  • Level 3 Counselling Studies
  • Level 2 Counselling Children & Young People
  • PGCE in Secondary Education

As a part of her ethical responsibilities, Bhavna undertakes regular supervision and professional development, she holds a current DBS and is an Accredited Member of the NCPS (The National Counselling and Psychotherapy Society). Bhavna practices from the Sunrise Wellbeing Therapy Centre, where she provides 1:1 counselling to children and young people.
