Lisa Summerfield

Psychotherapist/Counsellor

Lisa is a qualified Psychotherapist/Counselor who has completed five years of training, including a
BSc (Hons) degree with the Sherwood Psychotherapy Training Institute.

Lisa’s approach is characterised by warmth and understanding, creating a safe space for clients. She
integrates knowledge and skills from the person-centred approach, gestalt, attachment theory, and
other relational and developmental approaches, always keeping the client’s best interests at the
heart of her work.

  • Low self-esteem/negative self-talk
  • Relationship difficulties
  • Domestic Abuse (emotional, sexual, parental)
  • Anger
  • Generational Trauma

  • Overwhelm

Lisa actively engages in regular clinical supervision and professional development in line with the
ethical framework of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP). She holds a
current enhanced DBS alongside insurance and is an individual member of the BACP.

Lisa practices from the Sunrise Wellbeing Therapy Centre in Anstey, where she provides 1:1
Counselling and Psychotherapy to adults and young people (aged 16+). She also works from a
therapy room in Ashby and offers online sessions.
